Sergii MELNYK
Deputy Counsel at the International Court of Arbitration, ICC
Sergii is a lawyer qualified in Ukraine and France (pending swearing-in), and as a solicitor in England and Wales. He has been working since 2017 as a Deputy Counsel at the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris. His duties include management of ICC cases with a focus on Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Previously, Sergii worked in leading international law firms in Ukraine, Belgium and France, specialising in international dispute settlement and advising clients on complex business transactions.
As a part of his duties at the ICC Secretariat and in his free time, Sergii gives lectures on international arbitration to students, arbitration practitioners and judges, publishes on arbitration and international law and speaks on arbitration-related topics at various regional and international conferences.
Sergii graduated with distinction from the MIDS arbitration LLM in Geneva and holds degrees with honours from the University of Bern, the Central European University in Budapest and Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University in Ukraine. He speaks English, French, Russian and Ukrainian.
