Stéphane BOTTINEAU


Legal Director

Stéphane Bottineau is legal director at the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP), the governing body that operates the men’s professional football leagues in France.

Stéphane graduated the Master in Sports Law at Aix-Marseille University, and then worked as a lawyer successively for a rugby club (Stade Phocéen), the French Federation of Omnisports Clubs (FFCO) and the French Rugby Federation. He joined the LFP in 2017, and serves as legal director since 2021.

Recently, Stéphane was admitted to the list of arbitrators of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) based in Lausanne (Switzerland).
