Zelda is a dual-trained civil and common lawyer with White & Case specializing in commercial arbitration with a particular focus on disputes arising out of, or relating to, infrastructure projects. As a result, her experience his necessarily plural, spanning a range of industries.

In addition to her arbitration expertise, Zelda has experience with other forms of dispute resolution, such as, resolving disputes through negotiation and settlement, mediation, adjudication and expert determinations.

Zelda’s experience in the construction & engineering industry includes acting for owners and contractors in relation to energy (and increasingly, renewable energy), industrial, mining, and transport projects in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, South and Southeast Asia, and Australia. More broadly, Zelda has acted as counsel in joint venture and shareholder disputes, joint development agreement disputes, and disputes arising out of the use and development of new technologies. Given the nature of the projects on which Zelda acts, she has familiarity with representations that implicate multiple parties.

Zelda currently holds several leadership positions in the arbitration field, including being a member of the Swiss Arbitration Centre’s Arbitration Court and an officer of the International Bar Association’s Arbitration Committee. Drawing on her practical experience, Zelda regularly contributes to thought leadership in the field, including the IBA Site Visit Model Protocol and the IBA’s Report on Res Judicata in International Arbitration.

Having previously worked in the field of human rights, Zelda remains committed to pro bono work, with recent advice relating to food security.
