The impact of the ICJ Climate Opinion on investment treaty obligations

In a Roundtable discussion, speakers from various backgrounds will discuss the impact of the ICJ Climate Change Opinion on investment treaty obligations. First and foremost, the impact on States' obligations reg implementing more rapidly and radically climate change measures versus their obligations towards foreign investors contained in their investment treaties. But we will discuss the impact on the investors' obligations in terms of heightened due diligence obligations and more generally the obligation to contribute to the fight against climate change.
