The Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA) is proud to present, in exclusivity for the Paris Arbitration Week (PAW) and first time screening in Paris, its documentary entitled "Between North & South", to be to be hosted by Reed Smith LLP, in its premises in Paris, the evening of 29 March 2023.

Produced by CRCICA, in co-association with Escape Home and directed by Ismail El Mokadem, this documentary addresses in an intense 35 minutes cut film, the impact arbitration and dispute resolution processes played in the developmental increase of the Global South.

Set in 4 different African Asian countries, including Egypt, the documentary shows the issues faced by the South at the start of its economic development, under the pressure of centralisation and concentration of dispute resolution mechanisms elsewhere. It shows the inter-relation between economics and the rule of law, and what part arbitration and those dispute resolution mechanisms played in transforming the Global South, to the point that the economies of several countries, including India, came to surpass those of France and the U-K.
