IN PERSON OPEN IN PERSON OPEN #Commercial arbitration #CEE/CIS/Russia #Europe

Presentation

The Vienna International Arbitral Centre (VIAC) - the premier international arbitration institution in Central and Eastern Europe – is delighted to be hosting its very own stand-alone event at PAW this year.

VIAC has historically greatly benefited from its traditional position in a neutral country between east and west. With the recent launch of the VIAC Community Ambassador Network (VIAC CAN), VIAC will continue to foster and cultivate its ties in CEE and SEE in the coming years by gaining an even deeper understanding of the specific needs of these markets and tailoring its offering to suit these needs. The introduction of the 2021 VIAC Investment Arbitration Rules has received a great response in the region. The panel discussion will address the latter and other hot topics in arbitration in CEE and SEE.

Join us at the Austrian Embassy in Paris for a lively and stimulating roundtable discussion followed by a cocktail and light lunch with an Austrian flair – if you are a fan of Schnitzel and Sachertorte, you do not want to miss it!

The event will be opened by VIAC’s Secretary General, Niamh Leinwather.

Speakers will include:

- Claudia Annacker, Partner, Dechert LLP,
- Karl Pörnbacher, Partner, Hogan Lovells and
- Veronika Korom, Assistant Professor, ESSEC – all VIAC Board members.

The panel will be moderated by Stefan Riegler, Partner, Wolf Theiss, Vienna and VIAC Board Member.
