Young EFILA

The European Federation for Investment Law and Arbitration (“EFILA”) was established in 2015 in Brussels as a think-tank to promote the knowledge of all aspects of European and international investment law, including arbitration, and endeavours to facilitate a meaningful exchange of views on relevant and timely issues related to the development of the European common market and the rule of law.
EFILA serves as a platform for fact-based and merit-based discussions on European and international investment law issues. It seeks to foster an objective debate concerning the system of investment arbitration and dispute resolution both within the European Union and globally.
Young EFILA was established in 2021 as a part of EFILA. It provides a space within EFILA for the introduction and participation of young lawyers, practitioners, academics, experts and other qualified individuals interested in investment arbitration and dispute resolution, particularly at the European level.
Membership is open to practitioners with 3+ years of investment treaty experience, and the upper age limit is 40 years.
Young EFILA is also open to policy makers, academics, as well as LLM and PhD candidates researching in the international investment treaty law and arbitration space.
