Alice MEISSNER

Alice specialises in international arbitration, corporate law with focus on joint venture structures with foreign investors and European energy law. She frequently acts as lead counsel in international commercial arbitration under the arbitration rules of ICC, VIAC and CIETAC and also represent clients in investor-state arbitration proceedings.

She has been or is currently acting as independent arbitrator under the Arbitration Rules of ICC and VIAC as well as under the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules. She is listed, among others, with ICC, VIAC, as Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Arbitrators (FHKIArb) and with the Panel of Arbitrators of the X'ian Arbitration Commission (XAAC). Alice has been appointed Chair of the European Chinese Arbitrators Association and acts as an independent consultant to the Swiss litigation finance provider, Nivalion AG related to the Asian Pacific market.

Alice is a dual-admitted attorney with the Austrian Bar Association as well as with the Munich Bar Association, she obtained her ph.D. (Dr.) in Austrian corporate law with the University of Vienna and speaks besides English and German, basic Mandarin Chinese and fluent Cantonese Chinese.
