Fabienne SCHALLER


President / Judge

Fabienne Schaller is President in the International Commercial Chamber of the Paris Court of Appeal (CCIP-CA / ICCP-CA).
She was admitted to the Paris Bar in 1986 and to the New York Bar in 1992. She graduated with a Master of employment law from Paris X-Nanterre Law School and a LL.M in Trade Regulation / Arbitration from NYU Law School.
After practicing as a litigation lawyer in Paris and New York, she joined the Bench in 1997.
She was appointed as a Judge in the first instance courts of Paris, Evry, Nanterre and Bobigny. Between 2008 and 2014, she worked at the Ministry of Justice in the International Department and participated actively in the negotiations of EU directives on procedural safeguards in criminal proceedings and of several international conventions within the Counsel of Europe in Strasbourg. She was appointed as vice-president in the Paris Court where she dealt with complex financial cases and white colar crime from 2014 to 2016.
As an appeal Judge in the commercial division of the Paris Court of appeal since 2016, she specialized in transport law, unfair competition, agency and wrongful termination of contracts, as well as in international arbitration. She was appointed in the international commercial chamber (ICCP-CA) which was created in 2018, dealing with international commercial litigation and arbitration.
She lectures at EFB School in International Commercial Arbitration. She participates regularly as a speaker in conferences on international arbitration or commercial litigation. She is an active member in the Sifocc (Standing International Forum of Commercial Courts).
