Katherine González Arrocha
International Arbitrator & Expert in Dispute Resolution

She is internationally recognized as an expert in arbitration and alternative dispute resolution (ADR), with over 25 years of experience handling globally significant cases. A Panamanian attorney, she holds a postgraduate specialized diploma in arbitration and ADR from the University Panthéon-Assas. She held various positions at the ICC International Court of Arbitration in its Paris headquarters and, until 2021 served as Regional Director based in Panama.

She is a member of the panel of arbitrators and conciliators appointed by Panama to the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) at the World Bank. She has been appointed as an arbitrator in numerous cases under the rules of institutions such as ICC, ICSID, UNCITRAL, and others. She has also acted as Dispute Board Member under FIDIC construction contracts in Central America.

She has been featured in Who’s Who Legal rankings, which in 2023 highlighted “her unparalleled contributions to arbitration in Latin America,” further noting her as “a world-leading professional” and adding, “I would highly recommend her.” In 2024, she was recognized as “an excellent professional,” “a very knowledgeable lawyer,” and “a great legal mind.” She was also included in the Thought Leaders Arbitration, Recommended Arbitration, and Central America categories.
