Omar is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center, where he developed a strong foundation in international law and dispute resolution. He advises and represents private corporations and sovereign States in high-stakes international disputes and complex matters of public international law.

Trained in both common law and civil law systems, Omar brings a comparative and strategic perspective to cross-border matters. His practice focuses on commercial and investment arbitration, with experience across key sectors including oil & gas, renewable energy, construction, real estate development, agriculture, and telecommunications.

He has acted in complex disputes involving large-scale investments, post-M&A transactions, insolvency proceedings, and matters involving allegations of corruption. Omar has represented clients in arbitrations conducted under leading institutional rules, including the ICC, LCIA, and UNCITRAL Rules, acting for parties in significant international proceedings worldwide. He speaks four languages, and well equipped to navigate the legal and cultural dimensions of global disputes.

Omar is also a co-founder of MCN International Group, a cross-border advisory and operational support firm focused on facilitating international investment and dispute-related processes in the Middle East.

With offices in Paris, Damascus, the firm supports foreign investors throughout the full lifecycle of market entry and development—from strategic analysis and opportunity assessment to partner identification, local coordination, project oversight, and commercial interface management.

In parallel, it provides confidential administrative and logistical support in arbitration proceedings, along with tailored linguistic services.
