Rebeca MOSQUERA


Senior Associate

Rebeca is a dual-qualified attorney in the Republic of Panama and New York, with almost a decade of experience in investor-state disputes and international commercial arbitrations. Rebeca has a strong background in renewable energy and oil & gas from her time at Shell Oil (Alaska), as well as experience in the infrastructure, construction, technology, real estate and telecommunications industries.

She regularly represents clients in international disputes under various arbitration rules, including those of the International Centre for the Settlement of Investments Disputes (ICSID), the International Chambers of Commerce (ICC), the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR), UNCITRAL, and ad hoc proceedings. She is also listed as an arbitrator.

Rebeca’s work has earned her numerous accolades, including a spot on Latinvex's list of Latin America's Top 100 Female Lawyers for "Arbitration and Litigation" for four consecutive years. She is also considered one of the eight “Most Highly Regarded” international arbitration non-partners in the Americas by Who's Who Legal and a Future Leader in Arbitration. She was also recognized in the New York Law Journal’s Rising Stars, honouring the region’s most promising lawyers. Rebeca is known for her ability to work under pressure, lead teams, and handle complex cases.

She is a board member of Arbitral Women, a member of the ICC Institute of World Business Law, an ICC YAAF representative for North America, a member of the organizing committee for New York Arbitration Week 2022, a member of the New York International Arbitration Center, a member of the International Council for Commercial Arbitration, and a member of the Task Force for The Rising Arbitrators Initiative (RAI).
