Yuri MANTILLA

Yuri Mantilla is a member of the international arbitration group of Freshfields in Paris.

He has extensive experience representing sovereign states and private entities in high-stakes global disputes. He has served as counsel and arbitrator in complex proceedings under major rules—including ICC, ICSID, and UNCITRAL—spanning the energy, construction, technology, natural resources, and life sciences sectors across five continents. His expertise extends to State-to-State litigation, representing States before the International Court of Justice and being involved in World Trade Organization proceedings. Yuri leverages a background in finance to provide specialized insight into the quantification of damages, which is a valuable asset in his legal practice.

A consistently recognized leader in his field, Yuri was most recently lsited as a "Thought Leader – Global Elite under 45" by the Lexology Index.

He is admitted to practice in France (Paris) and the United States (Washington DC and Florida). He is fluent in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and French.
