Alejandro CARBALLO LEYDA

Dr. Alejandro Carballo Leyda serves as General Counsel and Head of the Conflict Resolution Center at the Energy Charter Treaty Office of the Secretary-General.

Dr Alejandro Carballo-Leyda coordinated the Guide on Investment Mediation (2016) and co-organised the first training for investment mediators. Currently, he supports several countries in developing their internal instrument on managing investment disputes. Previously, Alejandro advised States and private clients on a wide range of public and private international law issues. He edited the book on Asian Conflict of Laws (Wolters Kluwer, 2015) and participated in the working groups of UNIDROIT Principles of International Commercial Contracts (2010 ed.) and Hague Principles on Choice of Law for International Contracts.
