Franz X STIRNIMANN FUENTES

Dr. Franz X. Stirnimann Fuentes, LL.M. is a recognized international arbitrator with over 20 years of experience in international and Swiss dispute resolution, who is regularly appointed as presiding, sole or co-arbitrator in arbitrations in Switzerland, Europe, and Latin America.

After working as a partner in major Swiss and US law firms, he founded STIRNIMANN FUENTES Dispute Resolution, an independent law firm based in Geneva, Switzerland, specialized in providing arbitrator services and representing clients in international arbitrations and in civil and commercial litigations before Swiss courts.

Dr. Stirnimann Fuentes is admitted to practice as an attorney in Switzerland as well as England & Wales (non-practising) and New York. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb). He has been appointed by the Government of Switzerland to the ICSID Panel of Conciliators.

He has acted as counsel and arbitrator in over 80 international arbitrations, both commercial and investor-State, in English, Spanish, German and French, under the rules of the major arbitration institutions, and under the laws of civil as well as common law jurisdictions. He is also a Swiss court litigator with trial experience in more than 50 commercial cases before courts in both the German and French speaking part of Switzerland and the Swiss Supreme Court. In addition, he regularly advises on cross-border commercial transactions subject to Swiss law and occasionally on Swiss antitrust, IP/IT, customs, and employment law matters.
