Joachim KUCKENBURG
Joachim Kuckenburg, born 1959, is a German lawyer (Rechtsanwalt) admitted to the Berlin bar practicing in Paris and specializing in international arbitration. He obtained his law degree from the University of Freiburg (Germany) and a post graduate diploma in European Law from the University of Saarbrucken (Germany). Before starting his professional career as a federal officer with the German Anti Trust and Merger Control Office (Bundeskartellamt) in 1989, he had been a research fellow to the Centre d'études juridiques françaises at the University of Saarbrucken and the Institut de droit comparé at the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas. In 1992, he joined the Secretariat of the ICC International Court of Arbitration where he was in charge of handling a 100+ international arbitration cases at any given time. He started private law practice in 1998 and is today practising out of his Paris based law firm K+ Law & More where he specialises in international arbitration and litigation. He acts with his team as counsel in arbitrations and litigations and sits as arbitrator in institutional or ad hoc settings, focussing on European, MENA and sub-saharian African countries and civil law legal systems. He works in English, French and German.
