Johan GERMAIN-VU

Johan Germain-Vu is a Director in the Construction practice of FTI Consulting’s Forensic and Litigation team, based in Paris. He joined FTI Consulting in 2023, having spent most of his professional career on major oil and gas and infrastructure projects.

Johan has over 17 years of experience managing the various components of project controls on contractor side. Prior to joining FTI Consulting, he held positions with Saipem.

Johan has been extensively involved in the set-up, management and development of activities of project control: budget and cost control, planning, contracts and subcontracts administration, risk management, document control and analysis of key performance indicators.
As such, Johan has developed a comprehensive knowledge of issues relating to cost, scheduling, risk and contract management within the construction project industry. In his time, Johan has focused on estimation and managing complex projects, developing and negotiating change orders, claims as well as tools and strategies to implement for contractual follow-up.

He worked on greenfield onshore oil & gas, shallow and deep offshore project (including subsea, umbilical, flowlines and risers), FPSO, maritime port projects, from engineering to commissioning, and has a large experience of technical and industrial problematics.
