Marcus VAN BEVERN
Marcus van Bevern is a German attorney-at-law (Rechtsanwalt) specialising in banking and capital markets. He advises in banking- and capital market-related litigation and arbitration as well as in financing transactions. He is also regularly appointed as arbitrator in arbitration proceedings.
Marcus started his career as a banker in the late 80s and has been working in the field of banking litigation and arbitration since his admission to the bar in 1998, when he first started in the litigation and arbitration department in Linklaters' Munich office, where he represented, among others, national and international financial institutions in complex litigation and arbitration matters. Later, he became in-house counsel and Head of Transaction Management in an internationally active German finance group where he develped, inter alia, the German master agreement for commercial real estate finance with the Association of German Pfandbrief Banks (vdp).
In 2009, he joined Kantenwein, a highly reputed boutique law firm with offices in Munich. In 2021, he was appointed to the P.R.I.M.E. Finance Foundation Panel of Experts where he was a member of the consulting group for the revision of P.R.I.M.E. Finance’s Arbitration Rules that came into effect in January 2022.
