Marc HENRY


President

Marc Henry joined FTMS in 2018. He specialises in corporate litigation and arbitration and has developed expertise in banking and finance law, as well as corporate law.

Marc has developed comprehensive expertise in banking and finance law, compliance, liability and contract law, corporate law (shareholder disputes and post-M&A litigation), and insolvency proceedings. Marc also has far-reaching expertise in arbitral proceedings and works as both counsel and arbitrator. Marc was elected President of the French Arbitration Association (AFA) in September 2017.

He is a lecturer on arbitration at several graduate programs at Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne University, Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas University, and Versailles – Saint-Quentin University. Marc is also the author of numerous scholarly works in this field. He is a member of the Arbitration Commission of the French Committee of the ICC, as well as the ASA, LCIA and UIA.

Marc was previously a partner in two Anglo-Saxon law firms (Lovells and Hughes Hubbard).

He is highly ranked by various publications and is recognized as a skilled and astute negotiator.

Passionate about the arts, Marc is a patron of the Paris Opera (as a member of AROP and the Cercle Noverre), a benefactor of the Musée du Quai Branly, a spokesperson for the Cercle Lévi-Strauss within the Société des Amis du Musée, an administrator and vice-treasurer of the Friends of the National Gallery of Denmark, and a member of the Association Pour l’Art – Pour l’Afrique, as well as a jury member for the Prix Traversées Africaines.
