Sabine CORNIETI
Sabine is a Senior Energy Specialist with the World Bank’s Energy Sector Management Assistance Program (ESMAP), where she co-leads the Renewable Energy team and the Sustainable Renewables Risk Mitigation Initiative (SRMI). Over the past 8 years, she has overseen global operations for solar, wind, and battery storage deployment across Africa and Asia, focusing on financial structuring and mobilizing private sector investments. Before joining the Bank, she worked as a Business Developer for EREN Renewable Energy (now TOTAL Energies) in Jakarta, a leading independent power producer in wind and solar. Her responsibilities included market analysis, project acquisition due diligence, financial modeling, and technical development for solar and wind projects in Indonesia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam, utilizing feed-in-tariff and auction schemes. Earlier in her career, Sabine worked with GIZ in Indonesia on renewable energy policies and with UNDP in New York, evaluating post-conflict programs. She holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Nottingham, UK, and a joint master's degree in International Affairs from Sorbonne Paris 1, France, and Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), USA.
