Deputy Director for Legal Affairs

Tanguy STEHELIN is Director of Legal Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A graduate of the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris, Sciences Po Paris, and Ecole Nationale d'administration, he started his carreer as a diplomat in the Legal Affairs Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2005-2009), before working at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, at the State Participation Agency (2009-2014) as head of the Transport and Rail Sector Office. In 2014, he joined the French Permanent Representation to the United Nations in New York as Legal Adviser (2014-2017), before becoming Personal Adviser to the Secretary General of the United Nations, Mr. Antonio Guterres (2017-2019).
