Yulia LEVASHOVA


Associate Professor

Dr. Yulia Levashova is an Associate Professor in International Investment Law and International Arbitration at Nyenrode University in the Netherlands. Yulia has extensive experience in international dispute resolution, business law, public law and legal aspects of ESG. Yulia is serving as a Director of Dispute Prevention of the Asia Pacific FDI Network (APFN).

Yulia is also an independent practitioner who serves as an arbitrator and provides legal consultancy to the Dutch government and international organizations, e.g., UNECE and UNCTAD. Yulia is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the observer to the UNCITRAL WG III. She also has vast experience in complicated projects in the private sector involving ESG, due diligence, sustainability, and CSR.

Yulia has published extensively on commercial and investment arbitration topics, including a monograph on fair and equitable treatment and the right to regulate (Wolters Kluwer), and has organized numerous international conferences with UNCITRAL, UNCTAD, CIArb and in collaboration with various international law firms.
