Presentation

Conference regarding What’s Up in IP Arbitration : Old Classics, Recent Trends and Future Promises, followed by lunch cocktail

Is there such a thing as “IP Arbitration”, like there exists investment or construction arbitration? Many common features are shared by those fields: expertise, confidentiality and high-end attorneys and arbitrators. With experts both in the field of IP and of IA Arbitration, the session will first explore all recent trends involving IP disputes, including the most renowned ones, such as those touching upon AI, how they are being litigated and / or solved whether in courts or arbitration. Then, turning to IP arbitration per se, the panelists will delve into and try to renew the question as to whether arbitration is a good, or even the best, option for intellectual property disputes. We will symmetrically tackle the limits of arbitration when faced with IP, notably through the issue of arbitrability. At last, enforcement aspects are inevitable to tackle from a practical standpoint and to end this session. UPC, Frand, AI, TR, ©, ®, art, pharma and many more acronyms will be covered. With a panel composed of top professors, attorneys, arbitrators, in-house and institutional representatives, we trust the audience will find and hear what it comes for.
