Founded in 1966 and based in Paris, France, Bredin Prat assists French and international clients in a broad variety of practice areas: Corporate/M&A, Securities Law, Litigation and International Arbitration, Tax, Competition Law, Finance, Restructuring and Insolvency, Employment and Public Law.
International commercial arbitration has been a key practice area since the firm’s creation. In addition, Bredin Prat has developed a long-standing expertise in investor-State arbitration, having acted for the Arab Republic of Egypt in ICSID arbitrations since 1984. To date, the firm’s International Arbitration practice serves a broad international client base in disputes relating to a wide array of sectors, in particular construction, energy (including oil & gas, electricity and renewables), mining and natural resources, infrastructure, transport, aerospace and defence, telecommunications, media, and waste management services, and with an extensive geographical reach (Western, Central and Eastern Europe, the Americas, Asia as well as the Middle East, North Africa, and Sub-Saharan Africa).
The team also has extensive experience acting in/advising with respect to arbitration-related litigation, such as setting aside or enforcement proceedings before local courts.
