Elsa PAPAREMBORDE


Senior Associate

Elsa Paparemborde is a Senior Associate in the International Arbitration team at Bredin Prat.

Her practice focuses on commercial and investment arbitration matters. She acts as counsel in a variety of large-scale and complex arbitration proceedings under all major arbitration rules (amongst others ICC, LCIA, SCAI, CRCICA, ICSID and UNCITRAL).

She represents companies and States in matters involving a wide spectrum of sectors such as energy, oil and gas, construction, engineering and infrastructure, real estate, telecommunications, M&A and banking, in Europe, the United States, the Middle East and Africa.

In July 2022, Elsa was elected Vice-President of the Paris Arbitration Week (PAW) Organizing Committee, for a three-year term. From 2019 to 2021, she also taught a required Dispute Resolution course in the Master I – Economic Law program at Sciences Po Paris.

Admitted to the New York Bar (2015) and to the Paris Bar (2018), Elsa is a graduate of Harvard College (B.A. in government, cum laude honors, 2010) and McGill Law School (BCL and LL.B. in civil law and common law, Dean’s List, 2014), where she was awarded the 2014 Quebec Bar Prize for excellence in studies of participative and alternative justice.

Elsa has been recognised as “One to Watch” in Arbitration in France by Best Lawyers (2022, 2023).
