Louk KOROVESIS


Senior Director

Louk Korovesis is a senior director and delay expert in the Expert Services practice, based in the Paris office. He is a mechanical engineer and project management professional, specializing in forensic construction programming and project management. He has firsthand experience in the dispute resolution fields of international arbitration and adjudication.

Louk has extensive expertise in mechanical engineering, particularly relating to international energy projects, having worked across the globe on combined and open–cycle power plants utilizing both oil and gas. He has also worked extensively with project management teams providing services throughout the project life cycle, as well as on stand-alone phases of project development in Europe, Africa and Asia.

Louk’s consulting experience covers a wide variety of construction projects, including oil and gas; energy; commercial buildings; mining; and floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) facilities.

Louk is a certified project manager (APMP – PMQ) and his professional memberships include the Technical Chambers of the UK (CEng MIMechE) and Greece and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (ACIArb). In addition, Louk has a degree in International Construction Contracts from Université Panthéon Assas – Paris II and has specialised in common law, civil law and FIDIC construction contracts.

Louk was listed in Who’s Who Legal in the “Future Leaders in Arbitration” category, in 2021 and 2022. His clients said that he is a “superb expert, with attention to detail that presents complex issues with ease”, that he “stands out for his strong technical expertise” and that “his experience from live projects adds great depth to his analysis”.

Louk speaks fluent English and Greek and also works in French and Spanish. Louk is furthermore a public and private speaker, giving lectures at law schools and engineering schools, private clients and conferences (such as the Paris Arbitration Week and GAR Live), on project management, planning and dispute resolution matters.
