Dr Sylvie BEBOHI EBONGO is a qualified Lawyer in Paris - France and Cameroon Bars. She is the Co-founder and Partner of HBE AVOCATS FRANCE and Founder and Managing Partner of Cab Bebohi Ebongo/HBE AVOCATS CAMEROUN, a “boutique” Law firm specialized in Business law. She sits as an Arbitrator in institutional and ad hoc arbitrations. She is a member of the ICSID Panel of arbitrators: https://icsid.worldbank.org/sites/default/files/ICSID%2010/2025-Mar%203-ICSID10.pdf and listed on several other panels of Arbitrators (CCJA-OHADA, CRCICA, CAMCO, SHAC, CACI, AFSA, CMAG, CIETAC) and is very active in the arbitration community where she holds various roles in international dispute resolution organizations and associations. She is an ICC Court Member and Member of the Board of Directors of the AfAA, APAA, AfricArb, ERA ASC, IBA Africa Network, CGA ASC, RAI, Arbitral Women, Mute off Thursdays.

She also acts as Counsel and advises institutional, private, and corporate clients in a variety of sectors (Construction, Projects, Infrastructure, Banking and Finance, Energy and Mining, International Contracts, Private Equity) and fields, both in Africa (OHADA area in particular) and in the West part of the world.

A lecturer and Trainer at Universities and High schools in the field of arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution, she also publishes articles and provides translation services in this field. She is fluent in French and English.
