Guillaume ARÉOU
Member of the Paris Bar, Guillaume’s practice is focused on litigation and international arbitration, both commercial and investment. He specialises in a wide variety of fields, including but not limited to, international trade law, public international law, and public procurement law. Guillaume also has significant experience with a number of specific sectors, from the construction to the food industry sectors. Guillaume represents both private investors and States alike, notably in Africa-related disputes.
Guillaume holds a PhD in International Investment Law from the University Nice Côte d’Azur. He regularly lectures on International Arbitration at a number of French Universities and at the ESSEC Business School where he intervenes on the developments of Investment Arbitration in Africa.
He regularly publishes and speaks at conferences on issues of International Arbitration.
In addition, Guillaume is co-founder of AfricArb, an association dedicated to the promotion and development of arbitration in Africa.
